Art and Music in early civilizations helped those civilizations to preserve their culture, and explain their way of life to other peoples. Art Showed how events occured in their day-to-day life. For example, the in the video shown, the plates showed people of early Greece doing common activies such as writing, drinking, and playing music, and common religious beliefs in the form of deities. These activities were shown because they possessed a higher level of importance to the people who painted them. The music that was being played in the video and artistically demonstrated in paintings was also important in the early Mediterranean, as it was a major part of festivals, feasts and other major events.
